in celebration of the eternal nature of life

We do death consciously.

End of Life Arrangement + Supporting Technology

Instead of the distraction and dread associated with end of life management and funeral arrangements, Perennial aims to streamline communications + paperwork via death management technology.

This leaves you able to focus on what matters most: matters of the heart and your loved ones; allowing us to support the facilitation of climate conscious ritual + remembrance.

Perennial is actively vetting partners to aid in this aspect of our process, if you are interested, please contact info@perennial.space.

Earth First Transition + Sacred Soil Remembrance

Earth First Transition (EFT) is the earth-friendly management of loved ones’ bodies back to the soil, enabling the regeneration of soil health while sequestering 25 lbs. of carbon from the atmosphere in the process.

The return to soil is nature’s way, it is how the circle of life continues. This is a stark contrast from the typical 530+ lbs. of carbon emitted from each cremation into the atmosphere; formerly believe to be “the most earth friendly alternative” to death management.

We return healthy soil to you in remembrance of your loved one, to enable new growth and sacred spaces to ritualize the remembrance of your loved one at home or in your own personal way.

Celebration of Life Experiences + Somatic Services

With decades of experience in hospitality, human connection and conscious gathering, we support all souls in their unique grieving, including alternative healing modalities which allow feelings without limitation, with the support of all forms of spiritual, non-limiting constructs.

We provide everything from classic celebration of life to somatic healing modalities to mediumship connection.

Perennial is new earth’s way of honoring the sacred nature of life after death and the re-ritualization of death as a sacred part of earth’s natural cycles.

Not all end of life is "Earth First"

  • 534 lbs. CO2e

Standard Cremation, often thought to be the most environmentally friendly burial practice, emits an average of 534 lbs. of carbon into the atmosphere during the process.

  • 250 lbs. CO2e

Traditional Burial emits approximately 250 lbs. of carbon in the atmosphere, while utilizing excessive natural resources, wood, cement and other toxins.

  • -2,200 lbs CO2e

Earth First Transition (Green Burial) sequesters up to 2,200 lbs of carbon from the atmosphere and increases soil health, an earth-positive climate solution.

Perennial is a multi-faceted Climate Solution

Protection and stewardship of natural lands is a key climate solution, with 80% of biodiversity currently stewarded by Indigenous tribes.

Only 13% of U.S. Federal land is environmentally protected, with only 4% in Illinois - with goals to conserve 30% by 2030.

Perennial can support national + state level conservation/preservation efforts of biodiverse lands.

Annually, one Perennial facility would have the conservative ability to sequester approximately 4,700 MT of CO2e from the atmosphere.

One facility could also support the avoidance of 98,790 MT of CO2e from cremations annually, the equivalent of avoiding the burning of 110,659,958 lbs. of coal.

our bodies are a complex ecosystem of divine nutrients; proof of mother nature’s innate and interconnected systems of natural abundance. returning our bodies to earth sustains the circle of life.
